Bremer Beginnings

I'm so excited!! I got tagged!! This is fun! I hope you enjoy hearing about us...then I'll tag!

1. Where Did You First Meet Your Husband?
We met at the Singles Ward in Garden Grove.
2. What Was The First Thing You Said To Your Husband?
"Can I give you a kiss?" Actually, I don't know if that's the FIRST thing I said, but here's the story...In Relief Society after the lesson, the teacher passed out Kisses. So, as I was walking down the hall, after class, I met Ryan in the hall and asked him if I could give him a kiss. Everyone was around. He was a little embarrassed. After going back and forth, he sorta leaned in towards me and I handed him a Hershey's Kiss!! It was sooo funny!!!
3. Where Was Your First Date?
Our first date was dinner and a movie. We went to Subway and then we saw "Independence Day". Yes...we are old!! I was actually making plans with my friend that night, but told her if Ryan called, it would change. How did I even know he was going to call?!?!
4. Where Was Your First Kiss?
On our first date, he kissed me on the forehead. On the second date, he kissed me on the cheek. I believe that our first kiss was the day I got my new car and I believe it was in the Rite Aid parking lot. I remember thinking, "Geez...I have some teaching to do!!" hahaha!!
5. Did You Have A Long Or Short Engagement/Courtship?
We dated for 2 months (seeing each other pretty much every day) and were engaged for 6 months (I had to wait until I got my braces off. Couldn't have wedding pictures as a brace face! The braces were off April 1st and we were married April 19th)
6. Where Did You Get Engaged?
The plan was to go to the beach, but Ryan was a little too anxious, I think. We were at his High School football game from the school he graduated from watching the homecoming game. We left a little early. As we were driving in the parking lot, he said that he had forgotten something in the trunk. He fumbled back there for a little bit and then opened my door and got on his knee. He had a white heart-shaped pillow in one hand with a Cinderella glass slipper on it. In the slipper was a ring! Hershey's Kisses were also on the pillow (a little significant, don't 'cha think?) He read me part of the Cinderella story...the part where the slipper fits. He told me that he has made two great decisions in his life: 1 was to serve a mission and the other is to ask me to marry him. Awwwww!!!!
7. Where Were You Married?
We were married in the Los Angeles Temple.
8. Where Did You Go On Your Honeymoon?
We went to San Francisco. The wedding night we stayed in the Honeymoon Suite at the Disneyland Hotel. Beautiful!!
9. Where Was Your First Place Together?
A little 1 bedroom apartment in Anaheim, CA
10. How Long Have You Been Married?
10 years...going on 11. I can't even believe it!!

Ok now it's your turn.... tag: Jenny, Carrie, Kyla, Annie, Debbie, JoEllen, LeeElle, & Cori! Can't wait to read what you write!
It's a fun way to get to know each other's "Beginnings".

Happy Halloween!!

Well, here they are. We have Belle, The Flash, a cute little clown (see Tiff, she's cute, right?!) and Jeff Gordon...the NASCAR driver. The kids had a fun time trick-or-treating. We have so much candy...it's disgusting!! The neighborhood was a little quiet. I don't know where everyone was. Maybe next year we will have to go to someone's ward party that night or something. Fun costumes!!

Halloween Party

We went to my sister's Halloween Party. It was an Adult costume party. It was a lot of fun. She had fun games and we got to meet some really nice people.

Well, here's the moment of truth...here are our costumes!! I think that they turned out really good. What do you think?? I have also included a picture of my sister and her husband. Her real hair...yes. His real hair...no. They were dressed as EMO people. I don't even know how to say that. I am so not hip!! hahah!!

Our Spoooooky Dinner

Tonight we had the Armstrong family over for dinner. But, it wasn't just any kind of dinner...it was a spooky dinner! We started this tradition last year and the kids really enjoyed it. For dinner, we had Bloody Worms and Eyeballs (spaghetti and meatballs) with moldy cheese on top, worm juice (lemonade) with spider ice cubes, and batty bread. It sure was yummy. We had all the lights off and just lit a ton of candles. Of course we had spooky Halloween music playing.

Everyone had name cards. There was Dangerous Daddy, Monster Mommy, Evil Evan, Terrifying Tyler, Haunted Heidi and Lifeless Lindsey. Then for our guests, we had Cruel Kevin, Menacing Marianne and Creepy Kyle. It was fun trying to come up with these names.

Then for family night we made up a Halloween story and then played "telephone" with Halloween sayings...with only the light of a flashlight. Heidi said that she was "afraid of the darkness". It was a lot of fun. Then for dessert, we hard orange sherbet ice cream with chocolate chips (good use of the Halloween colors). I found this idea of doing a spooky dinner online last year and it was neat. The kids have been asking all month when our spooky dinner was going to be. It was fun again! Thanks for a fun night!!

Those crazy boys really enjoyed eating those spiders!! YUCK!! By the way, all these pictures were taken in the dark. You can't really get the full effect. The first picture is without the flash. Can you see the boys??
(S&T, you missed out...but, we missed you!! Next year...??)

Strawberry Lover!

I found strawberries!! Cool, huh? So, I had to change the colors of my blog to match. If you know me, then you know that my kitchen is strawberries. I love this blogging thing!

By the way, if you are checking out my blog, I would love to hear from you. Don't be a "blogger stalker", as my friend put it. Let me know what you think, how you are doing, comment on a post, etc. I like to know who my readers are!! :-)

Halloween Costumes

So, I decided to make our Halloween costumes this year. Nothing too creative...pretty traditional. Here are pictures of the pattern and when I get a picture of us actually wearing the costumes, I will post them and you will have to let me know how you think they turned out!

Here's Ryan's costume...a pirate.

This one is for me...the gypsy. Crazy pattern, but I am practically done! YEAH!! So, what kinds of accessories does a gypsy wear? Help...

Heidi Learns the Letter "E"

Heidi learned about the letter "Ee" for Preschool this week. They dressed up like elephants. Here is a picture of Heidi with her slinky nose and her can feet. Very cute! The kids loved it! I wish I could take the credit for something this cute and creative, but it wasn't my week to teach. Way to go Kelly!
(Uncle Scotty...this post is for you...you missed seeing Heidi, so here you go!!)
